I’ve been waiting for this all winter. Checking the sky most nights for light pillars, which are created by ice crystals in the sky reflecting lights on the ground. I noticed some weak, short lived pillars in a timelapse I shot a little while ago, but they weren’t very exciting. Then I saw some another night, but I didn’t have my camera handy, and by the time I got it, they were pretty much gone. However, on this night, the pillars were plentiful, some of the best I’ve ever seen. This is a pano made from 3 shots.
Snownado! You can see this in much better quality near the end of this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4XjDSYvKNM&feature=youtu.be
